QuotationIf I’m involved in anything, the first thing you know is they have Betty for secretary, and then Betty for Vice President and then Betty for President. It never fails—just because I’m capable of doing it, I guess.
Biography
The front porch of Betty Lacey’s farmhouse on a ridge overlooking the Saint John River faces two islands and seven bodies of water near the sublimely beautiful area of Queenstown, New Brunswick. The layered geography turns out to be a good metaphor for Betty’s composite services to community, province, and nation, providing a framework for interviewer Liz Burge to understand what drove Betty to work tirelessly for others over a period of six decades. Liz found herself wondering just how big Betty’s address book really is!
