About the Project

Body

Liz Burge is a Professor in Adult Education at the University of New Brunswick, with years of volunteer social activism in the fields of aging and built heritage. Some strategies she had to learn the hard way; others she was able to learn from older and wiser colleagues before the ‘heat’ of the action.

This project honours the work of Atlantic Canadian elder women activists in various societal arenas (including but not limited to women's issues) and captures the wisdom in their experiential learning.
